Made one at a time, not from a template. Fast to load, easy to read on a phone, and owned by you. More than 5 pages? Each extra page is $200.

Hand-off

$0/mo

Hosting and domain are set up in your name and you take it from there. The site stays up with no fee from me. You pay your domain renewal directly, usually $10 to $20 a year.

Hosting plan

$25/mo

  • I look after hosting and your domain renewal
  • A report every 2 weeks: visits, top pages, how people found you, and how many reached out
  • 2 free small updates every month, for as long as you're on the plan
  • Cancel any time. The site and domain stay yours.

Small update: anything that takes under 30 minutes, like new hours, a price change, or a photo swap. Unused updates don't roll over.

Bigger changes: $100 an hour, billed in 15-minute steps. I'll tell you the estimate before I start.

My mistakes: if something I built is wrong, I fix it for free. Always.

Business email: two options

Email forwarding

Free. Mail sent to you@yourbusiness.com lands in the inbox you already use. It isn't a mailbox, so you can't send email from your business address with it. Good if you mostly receive email.

Google Workspace

A full business inbox that sends and receives from your business address, plus shared calendar, Drive, Docs, and Meet. Paid to Google per person, per month. See Google's prices. Good if you have staff or send a lot of email.

Data backup

Don't lose your business files

A dead laptop, a stolen phone, or one bad click can wipe out years of invoices, photos, and customer records. I'll look at how your business stores its files and set up backups that work, so getting them back is easy.

Backup check
I look at your computers, phones, and online accounts, find what isn't backed up, and give you a written plan. If you hire me for setup, this fee comes off the price.

I set up backups for up to 5 computers plus your Google or Microsoft accounts, test a restore, and leave you a one-page guide for getting files back.

I watch for failed backups and test a restore every 3 months. Storage is billed at cost. $50 a month minimum.

We talk

30 minutes on the phone. You tell me about your business, your hours, your services, your story. I take notes.

2.

I build

Within a few days you get a private link to a working draft. We go back and forth on copy, photos, and color until you love it.

3.

You're live

I publish to your domain and hand you everything. The site is yours. Keep it yourself, or let me look after it for $25 a month.

I started Knight Labs to build the kind of websites and software I wanted to see for small businesses: custom, fast, owned by the customer, and with no subscription you don't need.

Big agencies treat a $2,000 website like a chore. Page-builder platforms treat your business like a template. I treat it like what it is: the front door of something you built. Worth doing carefully, worth doing once.
